Bit quiet on here lately, how is everyone? Hoping to get out in the next couple of weekends and do some detecting and see if I can get lucky.
On the other hand maybe I should just have a look around old pianos & furniture shops :0)

I have been having a great time buying coins lately, including one or two from R. Ingram. My aim basically is to collect good value English milled coins. I don't really worry whether I have got a date, if the price is good, I will buy it. I have a couple of gothic Crowns, several wreaths and a good sprinkling of other, mostly silver bits and pieces. One thing I have noticed recently is the crazy prices of proof sets. R. Ingram themselves have the 4 coin 1937 set at £14,500! I find this incredible, but someone told me at auction they were going even higher! Unbelievable, a real prospect of leaving me well behind if this trend continues.
